What is Cryolipolysis?
Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive fat reduction procedure that uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat cells, sculpting and contouring the body.
Cryolipolysis, also known as "fat freezing," is a cosmetic treatment that targets and eliminates fat cells through the application of controlled cooling. The procedure is designed to reduce localized fat deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise. By freezing the fat cells, Cryolipolysis causes them to crystallize and die, allowing the body to naturally eliminate them over time.
The treatment is ideal for areas such as the abdomen, thighs, flanks, and arms. It is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction, offering minimal discomfort and no downtime. Patients typically see a noticeable reduction in fat bulges within a few weeks, with full results developing over the following months as the body processes and removes the dead fat cells.

Cryolipolysis Treatment Process
How Cryolipolysis Works?
Cryolipolysis works by applying a specialized cooling device to the targeted area. The device delivers controlled cooling to the fat cells beneath the skin, causing them to undergo apoptosis, or cell death. The fat cells are then naturally metabolized and eliminated by the body's lymphatic system over time. This process does not harm surrounding tissues or skin.
During the procedure, a gel pad and applicator are placed on the treatment area. The applicator delivers precise cooling while a vacuum pulls the tissue into the applicator cup. Patients may feel intense cold and a tugging sensation, but these effects subside as the area becomes numb. The procedure typically lasts 35 to 60 minutes per treatment area, depending on the size and number of areas being treated.
After the treatment, patients can return to their normal activities immediately. Some redness, swelling, and temporary numbness may occur, but these side effects are usually mild and resolve quickly. Over the next few weeks, the treated fat cells are gradually flushed out of the body, resulting in a slimmer, more sculpted appearance. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve optimal results.
Step 1: Initial Consultation
A consultation is conducted to assess the patient’s body contouring goals and determine the appropriate treatment areas and plan for Cryolipolysis.
Step 2: Preparation for Treatment
The targeted area is marked and a gel pad is applied to protect the skin. The Cryolipolysis applicator is then positioned to begin the cooling process.
Step 3: Cooling and Fat Freezing
The applicator delivers controlled cooling to the fat cells, which are gradually frozen and crystallized. Patients may experience initial cold and pressure sensations.
Step 4: Post-Treatment Massage
After the applicator is removed, the treatment area is massaged to help break down the frozen fat cells and enhance the results of the procedure.
Step 5: Post-Procedure Care
Patients receive instructions on post-treatment care, including staying hydrated and maintaining a healthy diet to support the fat elimination process.
Step 6: Follow-Up and Results Monitoring
Follow-up appointments are scheduled to monitor progress and determine if additional treatments are needed. Results typically improve over several weeks.
